Virtubox - VR Showroom for Building Planning

As part of our collaboration, we developed the VR showroom Virtubox with Terres Marketing- und Consulting GmbH. This innovative VR application, created using the Unity game engine, works with the Varjo Aero VR headset. It allows users to design the interior and exterior of a house according to their preferences. Users can customize doors, windows, flooring, skirting boards, brickwork, plaster, roof tiles, and rain gutters. This creates a virtual model of their potential dream home. Real products were digitized and displayed in the virtual showroom. External monitors allow others to follow the configurations live and collaborate in the decision-making process. Once the right elements are selected, an offer can be generated directly for the customers. This is made possible through the integration with the company's inventory management system, avoiding double data entry. Prices and availability are fetched daily from the system. The Virtubox is intuitive and easy to use, and has been thoroughly tested to ensure a seamless experience. A comprehensive update system has been developed for continuous product updates, keeping the VR application up to date and perfectly integrated with existing business processes.
